Wind at 1000 hPa level

The strong flow from the north down to the France can be followed by wind barbs. The north-west and west wind over France is accompanied with strong and deep cyclone with center over Denmark and Baltic Sea.
The second maximum of the wind speed is located west of Corse.

The circulation related with deep cyclone with center over Baltic Sea can be seen. Notice the indication of development by changing the direction of the wind in the Genoa Bay.

At this time step the following three features can be noticed - the strong north and north-west wind over North Sea and Great Britain down to the Mediterranean, north-west wind (Mistral) over part of south coast of France and over Balearic Islands and the cyclonic circulations of the wind over Genoa Bay.

The cyclogenesis goes on with all indications in the wind field. The maximum of wind speed between Balearic Isladns and Corse can be seen.

Notice the maxima in the wind speed over Mediterranean. The cloud spiral over South Italy was followed by the wind field.

The consequence of the cyclonic circulation over South Italy is strong north-east wind (bora) at the coast of Adriatic.

The weaking in the wind field over West Mediterranean and weaking of bora over Adriatic can be noticed.

The wind over West and South Mediterranean is unchanged. The indication of new cyclogenesis over land can be seen from the wind barbs.

The new development which is recognized by other parameters, at this time step can be seen also in the wind field over Hungary.

The Mistral over France and West Mediterranean was weaking. At the same time the huge cyclonic circulation over Central part of Europe and Mediterranean can be recognized.

The system was dissipating. The cyclonic circulation was still present over Mid-Mediterranean but is weak, similar like the second one over North-east Europe. The stronger wind was still just over West Mediterranean.
