Isentropes
The isentropes show a configuration typical for a warm front. At the warm side (54°N / 3 to 4 °E) we recognise a insertion of warm air yielding a zone of potential instability between 850 and 500 hPa.

The VCS was laid along the line indicated in the image below. From SW to NE.

Temperature Advection
The maximum warm air advection reveales in the lowest layers yielding an increasing potential instability.

Vertical Motion (Omega)
A strong vertical rising owing to the advection of positive vorticity and of warm air can be observed at lower and middle levels at about (54°N / 11°E).

Divergence
Near the ground strong convergence happened with a corresponding weaker divergence around 800 hPa.

Summary
All parameters reveal an intensification of the vertical instability and a high risk to severe convection. The high values of the IR-image corresponds very well to these dynamical forcings.
